Superspecialy clinics

Stroke is a major cause of morbidity and mortality. At our Stroke Clinic, we offer specialized care for individuals who have experienced a stroke. Monitoring of risk factors leading to stroke is done to prevent strokes. Our multidisciplinary team of stroke-neurologists, neuro-interventionists, Intensivist’s and rehabilitation specialists, work together to provide comprehensive acute and long-term care for stroke patients.

The Comprehensive Epilepsy Clinics are conducted by our team of experienced Epileptologists (neurologists trained in advanced epilepsy care) and specializes in accurate diagnosis of various types of epilepsy through thorough clinical analysis, EEG / Video EEG and advanced imaging techniques. Treatment is tailored to each patient with appropriate medical management and surgical interventions when necessary.
Epilepsy occurs due to abnormal electrical activity in the brain. There are several types of epilepsies which can be categorised as either focal (where seizures originate from an epileptic focus in a particular part of the brain) or generalised (where there is no identifiable focus and the entire brain gets activated during the seizure). Identifying an Epilepsy Syndrome helps to choose medications and predict outcomes. Seizures can be easily controlled in 70% of patients with anti-seizure medications. In 30%, seizures do not get controlled with medications (drug resistant epilepsies) many of which can be cured by epilepsy surgery. Our pre-surgical evaluation is tailored to each patient ranging from basic video EEG to highly sophisticated invasive monitoring / Stereo EEG.

Apart from disease modifying therapies, we address the symptoms of MS as well as the invisible or hidden symptoms like fatigue, cognitive dysfunction, etc to help patients lead comfortable lives.
